New Delhi: November 30, 2011: Swathanthra Karshaka Sangam, IUML’s frontal organization of Farmers, organized Parliament march here today and urged the government to address the crucial issues of farmers. The March started from the premises of Kerala house was blocked by Police with Barricades and the protesters then staged a Dharna at Jantar Mantar. Delhi Predesh IUML leaders and workers also joined the March and Dharna to express their solidarity to the cause of farmers.
E.T. Mohammed Basheer MP, Former Education Minister of Kerala and General Secretary of State IUML, inaugurated the Parliament March. Khorrum Anis Omar (Natioanal Secretary IUML), Naeem Akthar (National Secretary IUML), Nizam Ahamed (Vice President , Delhi Predesh IUML), Ujwal Kant Hunkar, Shahid Ali (Bihar), K. Muhammed Kutty, Adv. Haris Beeran (President, Delhi KMCC), Mohammed Aleem also spoke.
Later Swathanthra Karshaka Sangam, Leaders Met the Prime Minister and submitted their Memorandum. E. Ahamed, IUML President and Minister of State For External Affairs and HRD, E.T. Mohammed Basheer. MP led the delegation comprising C. Moyin Kutty MLA (President, Swathanthra Karshaka Sangam)), Kurukkoli Moideen (General Secretary), K.S. Hamza (Treasurer), C. Syam Sundar, K.U. Basheer Haji, T.A. Bilal and P.P. Mohammed Kutty. Prime Minister assured positive action to address the grievances of Farmers.
