Dr. Basir Khan is a fake leader- says his own candidate!
Dehradun, Jan.20- Mr. Muhd Furkan a candidate fielded by Dr. Basir Ahmad Khan who claims to be the National President of IUML has come out publicly against the fraudulent attitude of the so-called leader and decided to join IUML. Muhd. Furkan is a candidate in the Assembly Elections of Uttarakhand from Pirankaliyar constituency. He sent a letter to IUML National President Mr. E. Ahamed through IUML State General Secretary Mr. Ghalib, to inform that he severed all his relations with Dr. Basir. He also expressed his desire to join IUML and requested IUML support in the election. Favouring his request IUML Uttarakhand Unit has decided to support him in the election battle.
“Dr. Basir’s claim that he is the National President of IUML was not accepted by the Election Commission and candidates fielded by him including me became independents. He is a fake leader “ – Muhd. Furkan Said. “I accept the true leadership of Mr. E. Ahamed, the National President of IUML” –He added.
Dr. Basir Ahmad Khan, who is not even a primary member of IUML, pretended to be IUML President and Muslim leader through his gimmicks and cheap popularity methods. Claiming himself as the President of IUML he also tried to field candidates in the Uttarakhand elections by fraudulently using the name of IUML. IUML brought the matter in to the notice of the Election Commission and requested appropriate action in this regard as Dr. Basir is nobody to represent IUML, which is a registered political party in the Election Commission. Dr. Basir’s effort was foiled and now all his candidates are considered as independents. Muhd. Furkan was also among them. Considering the protest of Muslim League candidates who are contesting the Uttarakhand elections on Party’s Ladder symbol, Election authorities also warned Dr. Basir’s candidates against using the name of IUML and flag in their campaign.
Recently Mr. Shakil Miyan , the National Treasurer and President of U.P. State Unit of Dr. Basir’s Party, also issued a press statement against Dr.Basir. Questioning Dr. Basir’s authority to claim the Presidentship of IUML , he described him as a political fraud. IUML National Secretary Khorrum Anis Omer and K. Muhamed kutty, both central observers for U.P. State, met Shakil Miyan in Delhi and had a detailed discussion about the developments. Later Shakil Miyan visited Mr. E. Ahamed, the National President of the Party. He also sent a letter to Election Commission opposing Dr. Basir’s false claim.
