IUML activities in full swing in Tamil Nadu

Indian Union Muslim League in Tamil Nadu is in its full swing all over the State with various activities to strengthen the Party. Constant tour programme by the Party National General secretary Prof. K. M. Kader Mohideen Ex. M. P. who is also the State President of the party, accompanied by the state General secretary Mr. K.A.M. Aboobacker, has created a new wave of enthusiasm in the party activities through out the State.

Membership campaign
The State Committee of the Party has recently started its membership campaign in all the 42 districts of the State with the target of accommodating 10 lakh members into the party fold and the Party units are now much active in their membership campaign.
First primary unit election after the new membership campaign was successfully conducted by Alanthur Unit of Kanchipuram District, where 1400 members joined the Party. Alanthur primary unit submitted its member’s list and membership fee to the state leaders and the unit has received the recognition. In a Party function attended by the Party workers including the newly enrolled members, recognition certificate to the primary unit has been handed over to the Unit leaders by the State president Prof. K. M Kader Mohideen and State General Secretary K.A.M. Aboobacker.

New Publications
Party activities in other fields are also moving forward in a scientific manner. Party is also concentrating its work on various publications, which will be beneficial to spread the message of the Party to the public. Launching of a new fortnightly, namely “PIRAI MEDU” was the most important step in this regard. Mr. M. Abdul Rahman M. P. is the Editor of this new Tamil publication. The Party is already running a daily News Paper “MANICHUDAR” From Chennai and it has wide readership in the state. Party also has a full-fledged website “www.muslimleaguetn.com” which reflects the day-to-day activities of the party in the State.

Muslim league publication trust has recently published more than 10 publications briefing the history and records of achievement of Muslim League. “Journey from Rajaji Hall to Shadab Maidhan” is the most recent book amongst them and it has been released on IUML Foundation Day Conference held at Melapalayam in Thirunalveli District.

Melapalayam Conference
Tamil Nadu State Muslim League celebrated 62nd foundation day of IUML by conducting “Community Renaissance Conference” on 10th March, 2010 at Melapalayam near Pettai (Birth place of Quaid-e-Millath) in Thirunalveli District. Hon. Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertlizers Mr. M. K. Alagiri, Tamil Nadu Ministers Mr. Poongothai Aladi Aruna and Mr. T. P. M. Mohideen Khan, MPs and MLAs of various parties attended the Conference and addressed the gathering. Prof. K. M. Kader Mohideen, National General Secretary and the state President of the Party, Mr. K. A. M. Aboobacker, General Secretary State IUML, Mr. M. Abdul Rahman M.P. also addressed the conference. Party also conducted a massive communal amity rally in connection with the Party Foundation Day Programme at Melapalayam. Conference demanded the Central Government for 10 percent reservation for Muslims as recommended by Ranganath commission report.

Training Camps for Youths
Recently Tamil Nadu State Committee also conducted political training camps for youths at Hosur in Krishnagiri District and Pernambut in Vellore district. Students from various colleges, schools and religious institutes attended. Career guidance coaching was also given by experts.
